Anaconda
Anaconda runs the gamut of all things nature: from hiking to diving to kayaking to climbing to biking. Tired of browsing? Scale the store's indoor rock wall. Visit the website before you hit the trails for helpful gear and camping checklists. At Anaconda, you'll enter a city-slicker, and leave a skilled outdoorsperson.

Kathmandu
Kathmandu's active wear can outfit any Sydneysider before he or she hits the trails, whether you're hiking in the Blue Mountains or deepwater fly-fishing on the Goulburn River. This outdoor store also has the goods to gear you up for your entire expedition, from tents to torches to sleeping bags.
Town Hall Arcade, Sydney

Let's Go Surfing
Let's Go Surfing is the only licensed surfing school on Bondi Beach, so these seasoned surf vets know their boards. No imitations here - get the equipment the real boys and girls use when they hang ten at Coogee. It's stocked with the gear to get you in the white and frothy, from surfboard car racks to rash vests to classic long boards. Cowabunga!
North Bondi

Paddy Pallin
Paddy Pallin produced Australia's lightest sleeping bags, tents and rucksacks in the early 1930s to lighten his load when bushwalking. Word of mouth spread, and soon Pallin's name became synonymous with lightweight gear for heavyweight campers. Today, the store also offers athletic wear for men and women.

Skater HQ
Whether you're skating on ice or concrete, Skater HQ is the place for all your sk8er needs, from inline skates to skateboard decks to longboards and scooters. The shop also holds lessons to help you hone your balancing skills. Test your chops every Friday at 8pm - the shop organises a free group roll around the Sydney Harbour foreshore.
