Sydney Italian Festival
From 19 May to 8 June Sydney will be celebrating Italian food, wine, art and culture, with a series of free events around Sydney culminating in Primo Italiano, for which Stanley Street will be transformed into an Italian Piazza. Sun 24 May, Stanley, Riley and Yurong Sts, East Sydney

The Rocks Aroma Festival
Coffee heads will love comparing coffee beans and fine chocolate sweets as they wander through the beautiful and historical Rocks area. Sun 19 Jul, The Rocks 2000. (02 9240 8788 www.therocks.com). 10am-5pm.

Sydney Winter Festival
This European-style winter festival is like Kindelmarkt without the Christmas. Enjoy apple strudel and gluhwein to warm the tummy while you watch classic winter films, take in classical musical performances, fashion shows and chilled-out electro sounds or pat a baby mountain goat. 18-21 Jun, Cook and Phillip Park, 4 College St, Sydney 2000.
