The MCA goes 'BONG' in the night... One of your last chances to spend some quality time with the cinematic masterpiece
Every minute the Museum of Contemporary Art has been open since its relaunch, Christian Marclay's The Clock - dubbed by MCA director Liz Ann McGregor herself as one of the most important artworks this century - has been ticking away in its Level 1 screening room.
Due to popular demand, and to coincide with International Museum Day on Friday 18 May, the MCA is casting aside the curtain all Friday night. In effect, this means that The Clock will screen for a continuous 55 hours from 10am Thursday 17 May until 5pm Saturday 19 May - another chance to see what the work offers up in the night hours. (Hint: Expect plenty of bonking closer to midnight.)
There's only a couple more weeks remaining for The Clock at the MCA - as the artwork itself kind of eloquently reminds us every time we sit down to watch it - so don't miss out.
