Expect mainly photography and, less regularly, sculpture, painting and mixed media over two floors in a converted Paddington terraced house. The annual exhibition of photography finalists in the national Walkley journalism awards is a highlight and there are new shows every three to four weeks. Bus 333, 352, 378, 380.
The gallery's current piece de resistance is a 40 by 60 inch print Beatles in limo by Curt Gunther. It's an iconic photo that is all the more compelling when viewed as a large print. Hours are lost in the room upstairs in which it hangs. I had the pleasure of chatting to an attendee who did just that. After much deliberation he bought one of the few remaining prints. Did we mention it's one of only 20 prints in that size and $5000 a pop?
