At the centre of these studios is the ethos 'by the people, for the people'. This free multidisciplinary exhibition and rehearsal space hosts an extensive programme of artists in residence, workshops and subsidised space for hire. Performing and visual artists, writers and directors come together to exchange ideas and technique. Studio 12 is where the magic happens – this is where you can see Chippendale's creative practitioners in action. "It's clear that creativity and Chippendale go together," says CEO of Frasers Property Australia, Guy Pahor. "The vibrant, authentic cultural life of this neighbourhood is one of its greatest assets."
