Time Out Sydney

Looking for the hottest bars in town this month? Here they are

The Roosevelt
From cocktails served in firearms made of glass to sneaky flasks served at the table and more liquid nitrogen than a day at Questacon, this new Potts Point bar from the Eau de Vie crew is breaking drinking boundaries.

Baxter Inn
You want whisky, whisky or whisky? At Baxter Inn, the new place from Shady Pines cohorts Anton Forte and Jason Scott, they’re serving 360 different types of the stuff. Don’t like it? No problem – try one of the many beers on tap, or get ’em to make you a cocktail.

If you could see the colour of our faces right now, you’d know we’d been at this ace tequila bar the night before and are now paying for it as we write this. Look for the neon sign and the fun pulsing from this bar like a wild animal.

The Little Guy
They didn’t open with a bang, but they did open to a thirsty neighbourhood. Glebe residents are packing in to the little bar boasting tasty, reasonably priced cocktails, beer and cider on tap and a good-times vibe.

Miss Marley’s
Hidden down in Manly, this little tequila bar is the perfect place to lose an evening surrounded by excellent hooch. Order some South American snacks and get your bartender to turn one of the many tequilas into your favourite classic. Rinse and repeat.
