Drink here in August

This new small bar, built in an old day spa on Taylor Square, is the perfect place to stop by for a quick beer (they have Estrella on tap) and a couple of snacks. They’re a super-friendly bunch and forthcoming with the drinks – exactly what you need after a hard day. |

Two men have never been so beardy near each other before. This new small bar just up from the Dock is a sweet nest of vintage furniture with plenty of room at the bar and a really swanky smokertarium. And plenty of beardy men. |
The Little Guy |

Glebe |
They’re barrel-aging their Negronis here. And while we’re still not sure if that saves any more time than just pouring the drink, it’s still pretty cool someone’s doing it in Glebe. Cocktails not your bag? There’s also an ever-revolving selection of tap beers. And free popcorn! |
Grandma's Bar |

Take a trip down Clarence Street early in the evening for fun tiki drinks, chicken and cheese toasties and plenty of punch. The guys are currently in the middle of opening their next bar, the Irish Rover – just across the road from Bar H. Look for it some time in August. |
Fico |

We once accidentally referred to this excellent little Italian speakeasy as the vagina bar (fica is vagina, not fico, which means fig – ahem). At any rate, we apologised a lot and we think they’ve stopped being angry. At any rate, check it out for little Roman-style snacks and aperitivi. |
