Time Out Sydney

Whether it's a force-five hangover or a sweltering afternoon, nothing cures your ills like an ice-cold cider

The Hotel Steyne

The pirate-themed Moonshine Rum and Cider Bar on the top floor of the Steyne Hotel is the business for cider in this town. They have 16 on tap and another 40 in bottles. On a clear evening treat yourself to a fruity brew and an ocean view on the rooftop balcony overlooking the breakers.

The Union Hotel: Newtown

This craft beer pub has made some space for its sweeter cousin, cider, stocking the likes of Dr Pilkington's Miracle Cider, Monteith's, Apple Thief, Bilpin, Miss Muffet, Bulmers, Rekorderlig and Strongbow.

The Little Guy

Whoever said popcorn and cider isn't dinner lied. With the Rocks Brewing Pickpocket apple cider on tap, three more in bottles and the smell of freshly buttered corn in the air, you have your fruit and veg right there, in delicious popped and fermented forms. Mum would be so proud.

Gazebo Wine Garden

Here you can imagine that you are in your own cider-soaked wonderland, enjoying Monteith's amongst the marigolds, a Hills beneath the hyrdrangeas, or an Aspall atop of the asters.

The Corner House

An uphill walk deserves cider. After hiking up Bondi Road reward yourself with a glass of the Mountain Goat Two Step Apple, Apple Thief Pink Lady, Monteith’s Crushed Pear, or for the real sweet tooths, an Old Mout Boysencider at the Corner House.
