Join Triple J presenter and celebrity vegan (celebrity vegan?) Lindsay McDougal at this 100 per cent vegan festival at Belmore Park. There’s going to be 60 stalls including a licensed bar serving vegan beer and wines. Discover which companies test on animals; sponsor a rescued bear; learn about ethical investment; adopt a homeless cat or dog; or volunteer with an animal rescue group. Just drink vegan booze while you’re at it. It’d be cruel not to.

Danks Street Festival returns with more, more, more – including live music, DJs, gourmet food stalls, an artists’ market, a kids’ area and roving entertainers. The event will spill into Young Street to include a Sydney produce market, with fresh food from local growers and bakers. Check out the latest shows at one of the street’s many galleries, or sit back in the bar at Danks St Depot and watch the entire thing, cocktail in hand.
