Head to these great Sydney bars for a taste of 42BELOW
Goldfish
Cocktail lounges serving drinks this good are few and far between in Sydney. Their cocktail list is massive, packed with classics and the bartenders can make anything you throw at 'em. What about a vodka Gimlet?
Icebergs
Carved into the Bondi rockface, Icebergs is a natural wonder, but the extra amazement comes in the form of dashingly dressed bartenders schooled in the art of giving customers what they need before they know it. Order a vodka tonic and watch the breakers.
Café Sydney
These are some of the best views in the city. The huge balcony juts straight over Circular Quay with a bird's-eye view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Sydney ferries choofing their way across the sparkling blue water. Try the Honey Heke - figs, manuka honey flavoured 42BELOW, crème de peche and cloudy apple juice.
Opera Bar
Got out-of-towners in tow? This is your place to impress. Sitting right on Sydney Harbour, you couldn't get closer to the water without falling in the swim. They also do an excellent vodka lime and soda.
Longrain
Their Bloody Longrain is still the best Bloody Mary in town; their stick drinks still sell like the bejiggly; and, yes, their bar snacks are still tasty as the day is long. Jeremy Shipley and team slam the drinks out hard and fast, packed with big, zest, fresh flavours.
Blu Horizon Bar
It might seem like a long way to go for a drink, but if you want 360-degree views of Sydney Harbour to go with your Martini, then the towering Shangri-la Hotel delivers. Try the French Martini (42BELOW, Chambord shaken with crushed pineapple and pineapple juice).
