To succeed in Bondi you need three key ingredients – views, good food and great service. Luckily Bondi Social has all three, otherwise it wouldn’t have lasted as long as it has. Its location at the south end of Bondi Beach means great views are a given, even if it is set back from the beach and on the other side of Campbell Parade. Make sure get a table on the verandah and then order a round of cocktails – we recommend the Polish Prince led by Zubrowka or the Astro Cherry with Ciroc. If it’s a hot afternoon, a bottle of rosé will more than do the trick and the Longview ‘The Boat Shed’ is on the mark ($9 a glass or $38 a bottle). Bondi Social is one of those venues that’s both great for a late afternoon drink or even just brunch. The ricotta pancakes and corn and ham fritters get our tick alongside a glass of Batasiolo Prosecco; or if it’s after 4pm, order up some pork belly.
