Some friends of mine were visiting for Europe a few weeks ago, and they were intent on heading into Kings Cross to see what all the hype was about. Though the media had been portraying it in a poor light of late, I have to say I've never felt safer in the precinct and also at this venue. First impressions are everything. When we arrived at the door security and the door staff were all really friendly. The lights, candles and even music were perfect. I felt like I was in a trendy Manhattan Bar or a really cool cocktail lounge in Paris. The cocktails were awesome, the bar staff new their stuff and I ordered the same cocktail 3 times from different staff and it come out exactly the same. Consistency being key. This is the exact reason why they've all those awards and achievements on the window out the front. If you haven't been to this venue, go!!! You'll on a winner and it's a shame so many people don't even venture into Kings Cross.. Definitely a huge loss on your part.
