Eden is your average inner city bar: stainless steel everything, a few beers on tap, a drinks menu of Mojitos, Caiprioskas, muddled lychee vodka concoctions, Margaritas, Sex on the Beaches... and so on. But what you may not know about Eden (née Work Bar) is that is has more than 50 rums on its shelves. They have house rum, golden rum, spiced rum, white rum, dark rum, navy rum... they even have rum for $1. The Sydney chapter of Rum Club is also run from Eden. If you think it sounds all cloak and dagger, you'd be right. Sort of. All you do is pay $10 for one of Eden's tasting nights and you get to meet rum representatives from around the world as well as taste some of the finest and rarest rums on the globe. Stand at the bar, choose something off the list (we recommend the Captain Morgan, for a very sweet $8 a nip) and chat to your bartender - they're well versed when it comes to the firewater. Eden is even ageing their own rum in a barrel in the corner of the bar.
