It's like a little piece of home. If your home is Canada
It may be a small hike up from the sandy shores of Bondi Beach to the door of the Stuffed Beaver but it's definitely worth the effort. You get the all the best parts of a North American-style bar – beers, hot wings, a bull mastiff guarding the door - without any of the inconvenience of sub-freezing temperatures and carnivorous wildlife. Hoist yourself up onto the lofty bar stools, start a bar tab, and from there you can pretty much just let the good times roll. The beers come in three sizes and while nothing will slake a beachside thirst like a longneck of Melbourne Bitter, there are also Little Creatures pints and Miller Draught stubbies on offer. If you are feeling a little dusty then the Bloody Mary is as likely to kill you as cure you. Made with a chilli vodka, the very fumes are enough to get our eyes watering. Once you are a few bevvys down the snacks can - and must - begin. From the suburb that brought you the deep-fried Mars Bar, comes the frickle - deep-fried pickle spears that are the ultimate flavour bomb, tasting not unlike a Big Mac. The rest of the menu is an all-American feast with burgers, nachos and hotdogs in pride of place, as well as the greatest thing to come out of Canada since maple syrup: poutine. Vitamins and minerals be damned: this is just a bed of chips with melted cheese and gravy - all taste, almost no nutritional value. If you prefer a crisp white and salad to beer and burgers then fair warning, but if you consider deep-frying to be the key to snack enhancement then you better hightail it down to the Stuffed Beaver, and maybe consider wearing stretchy pants.

I'm having a hard time buying that The Stuffed Beaver is 'American'. The Beaver is known as the Canadian Beaver and Poutine is a Quebequois food (Quebec, Canada). While the writer gives kudos to Canada for their food contribution and in the body of the article says North American, the headline should really read North American also. .
