The eagle has landed on Glebe Point Road
There are definitely things to cheer for at this newish Glebe bar. The cheesymite toasted sambos for one, and big bottles of alcoholic ginger beer for another. There are comfy lounges in the front room, drinks specials scrawled on the front window looking out onto Glebe Point Road and the promise of a big welcoming courtyard out the back. However. Our dreadlocked bartender is less than helpful - even verging on rude. The courtyard is deserted, bar one lone smoker. But maybe it comes alive later on a Saturday night. When the Little Guy has opened only a few doors up, it might pay to be a little friendlier. There’s potential here, but service and atmosphere need work.

Wow. I love this place. Have been heaps of times since it opened and never had anything but awesome service. I reckon this review must have been done before the place was fully opened or something. The photo doesn't even match what the place looks like now! Most nights I have been there it's been busy and had a great atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and relaxed and the owner seems really nice. They even seem to have adopted a really cool cat from somewhere up the road that just wanders around the beer garden. :) The wine list is great and they seem to be sticking with local Sydney beers except for some Japanese beer that they have on tap. There's half a dozen ciders as well which is great. For mine, I can't go past the Zubrowka and cloudy apple juice. It's like apple pie in a glass! Yummo!! They're doing a lot of live music (seems to be something on most nights I think) and I checked out their Burlesque night a few weeks ago and it was amazing! So much fun. My favourite things are the comfy couches (especially the chaise tucked in under the stairs!), the cheese platters, the live music, the friendly atmosphere and definitely the free wifi! Awesomeness.
