Black-tea ice cubes, sultana swizzle sticks, honeycomb, vodka, gin, rye and more all shaken and stirred and muddled and served for your pleasure - meet the drinks (and their makers) you'll find at the year's biggest cocktail carnival
Aperitif is the sort of place you wish you took advantage of before you headed off for that big night out, rather than after. Its very name implies that it should be the first port of call, yet its very appealing closing time of 3am means that often it is the last. As winner of ‘Best Wine Bar’ at the Time Out Sydney Bar Awards 2010, Aperitif continues to impress as one of the best places to enjoy a glass of vino in the Cross. Predominantly French (but, of course), they have a great range of digestif and Champagnes to match, as well as a few pleasing Spanish drops. Beers are less of a focus, although they do have the popular Spanish brew, Estrella Galicia, as well as a decent range of cocktails, including some cracking house Martinis.
