Black-tea ice cubes, sultana swizzle sticks, honeycomb, vodka, gin, rye and more all shaken and stirred and muddled and served for your pleasure - meet the drinks (and their makers) you'll find at the year's biggest cocktail carnival
The multi-level überbar that is the Arthouse provides something for everyone, all in the main artery of the CBD. Attic is its cocktail headquarters, nestled at the top of the old Sydney Art School building in a cosy room filled with Chesterfields but never so packed that you can’t have a conversation. In fact, Attic is one of the best cocktail venues in town. The friendly bar staff mix up a storm and if you ask nicely, they’re happy to accommodate special requests. Order a Martini to put them through their paces first. But if cocktails aren’t your thing, fear not: you’ll find a very respectable selection of spirits and house wine. There’s also plenty to eat like the classic beer-battered wedge with sour cream and sweet chilli or salt and pepper squid.
