Attached to Norton Street’s Palace Cinemas, Martini Bar is the ideal place to chew over your movie-going experience or, depending on what you’ve been inflicted with, wash the taste out of your mouth. Martini Bar is decked out with modern furniture and is, like much of its clientele, smooth, stylish and particularly radiant of a Friday and Saturday night. It doesn’t disappoint when it comes to its namesake cocktail either, which can be whipped up pretty much how you like it, so long as you like it ice-cold. For further chilling out, join the greenery on the balcony and inspect the nightlife, or tune into the jazz bands who liven up the place once a month. For the authentic Norton Street experience, there’s plenty of hearty Italian fare to partake in. The cheese tasting plates are more than generous but, for an appetite of truly cinematic proportions, you can’t pass up the selection of wood-fired pizze. We’ll bet that the parma, topped with slices of prosciutto crudo, has what it takes to move you – even if your choice of film doesn’t.
