Long before joining the Scissor Sisters, back in the deep, dark days of 1997, Sammy-Jo was a hard-working New York DJ, riding the breaking wave of electro dance to the top of the club scene. After accumulating residencies throughout the city, a chance meeting with Jake Spears at the infamous Click + Drag party lead to the two becoming friends and collaborators. In 2004, Spears invited Sammy to tour with the Scissors Sisters, a union that proved so successful that Sammy Jo became the permanent tour DJ for the group. Since then, Sammy Jo has become a worldwide name, spinning tracks at everything from the biggest festivals to the coolest underground clubs.
