British music Icon Norman Jay is driving his Good Times Sound System – the kitted-out red double decker and long-time feature of London’s Notting Hill Carnival – right on into Hyde Park for Sydney Festival First Night. Get in early (before 3pm) and snag a good spot, because Jay’s got an epic eight-hour set of funk, soul and disco planned.

So good to see Sir Norman shake off the jet-lag and sprinkle some Notting Hill Carnival magic on Sydney. Our Hyde Park may be smaller than London's, but Norm's crowd was equally enthusiastic and the soundsystem definitely delivered.
