The Main Event Floorspace
The time has come to hit the clubs, so why not try the legendary and newly refurbished Kings Cross Hotel on Saturday night for the hottest party in town, Floorspace. Organised by Boundary Sounds (responsible for Purple Sneakers), Floorspace plays the freshest dance jams with no restrictions on genre. Expect unfettered partying of the highest calibre. For its opening night Saturday 16 August, residents PhDJ, Johnny Rad and Steve Lind will be joined by an all-star DJ line-up, including The E.L.F. (aka Darren from Gerling), Nick Findlay, Vivienne Kingswood, G-Wiz, Bad Ezzy, 2onajoyride and Coco & Shambles.
Eat Tomatillo
The Mexican food here is combined with molar-loosening loud motown. The nachos with extra hot sauce is the way to go, otherwise the burritos are equally awesome.
Drink Gazebo
There are stuffed foxes decorating the ceiling and ivy is weaved throughout. It's like My Secret Garden on acid. And we love it.
While you're there... New York Slice
The beats are still coursing through your body, but so is the alcohol and you need to soak that up. Head to New York Slice, where the range of pizzas is as extensive as the end product is greasy and delicious.
El Alamein Fountain Dinner is done and as a post-prandial digestive aid, why not go for a walk? Stroll down Darlinghurst Road, taking in the riot of neon and humanity that is Kings Cross. Wind up at the El Alamein Fountain, where you can sit in its soft glow and people-watch. Fitzroy Gardens Kings Cross
