Hip Hop Wednesdays
Keepin' it real
The lowdown: Who knew Wednesday was a big night to get down? Leave your straight-laced self at home and get ready to gyrate to the jams. Expect the best Hip Hop hits from A to Z all night long courtesy of Bozzetto and Kato.
Why you should check it out: It's the perfect mid week shindig and you can kick it like Snoop with $5 gin and juice. With free entry and plenty of rhymes and vinyl, why the hell not?
Every Wednesday at The Flinders Hotel Darlinghurst

Shameless
Straight Cheesin'
The lowdown: Everyone has a guilty pleasure playlist on their Ipod, and most love nothing more than belting out a selection from this at karaoke. Now you can do it on the dancefloor. If it can only be sung with a clenched fist and a frown on your face, they'll play it at Shameless.
Why you should check it out: It's a night off from the usual music snobbery found in Sydney's clubs. Couple that with the $5 cocktail-of-the-month special (to fuel the group singing) and you've got a great night out. No shame in that!
Monthly at Iguana Bar Kings Cross

Jingle Jangle
Oldies but goodies
The lowdown: Sink into tunes from the 1920s, late 1960s, girl groups, wild instruments, swing, jive, garage, psych and pop. The night covers a lot of musical ground and leaves the 21st century behind. It's five bones on the door and all night dancing is guaranteed.
Why you should check it out: Time travel has not yet been invented and this is the next best thing. But a word of warning: people get pretty dolled up at this party. We recommend following suit – teddy boy suit.
Last Friday of every month at GoodGod Small Club Haymarket

Krumpshaker
Krunk it up!
The lowdown: Get your fix of the best 90s R&B, New Jack Swing, and Hip Hop, This party is always bumpin’ with bass until all hours of the night. Head to the cross to bust your nastiest dance moves with DJs like Sirens and National Treasure.
Why you should check it out: If, like us, you've got some pretty hot dance moves that can only be revealed at special occasions, then this is the place to do it. 90s slow grinds and soulful dance ballads are few and far between these days, so get it while it’s hot!
Monthly at Iguana Bar Kings Cross

His and Hers
Sunday fun day
The lowdown: Just when you're starting to get anxious about another weekend coming to a close, Flinders answers your prayers for just a litlle bit more. Booze with fierce beauties (we recommend signature cocktail 'cumshot') and kick back to tunes from DJ Bloodfart and Perfect Snatch.
Why you should check it out: Everyone loves a fabulous gay shindig – especially in the middle of the day. That, and it's completely free!
Every Sunday at The Flinders Hotel Darlinghurst
