Star City Casino
Star City not only has Texas Hold 'Em games running 24/7, but also Manilla, draw-five, seven-card stud and Omaha. There's usually a wait on the smaller limit Hold 'Em games, but there are plenty of other ways to shed your cash while you wait for your seat to be ready.

Poker HQ
A new player in the Sydney poker scene, HQ runs full time live games from two venues:
The Jade Tavern, Sydney
The Vauxhall Inn, Parramatta

Australian Poker League
The APL offers free nightly $11 and $55 tournaments all over Sydney, culminating in end of year championships, including one with a first prize of $300,000. The biggest 'high rollers' ($55) APL tournament is at St Georges Leagues Club on Monday nights (124 Princes Hwy, Kogarah 2217), but for low-limit or free-roll tournaments in your area, check out the exhaustive, day-by-day listings on their website.

National Poker League
With free and $10 tournaments all over town, the NPL runs in seasons, but it's fine just to turn up and play. If you do attend regularly, you can be eligible to play in the finals, with prize money over $25,000. Check their website for comprehensive listings.
