How has winning two trophies at the Time Out Sydney Comedy Awards earlier this year transformed your life? Well, I have been eating a lot of money sandwiches these days.
Is it true that you're currently working on a television show for [UK comedy production house] Tiger Aspect? I am not at liberty to discuss any of the many strange
television offers we are getting these days. I will say that what I am not
allowed to say is more interesting than what I am, but only marginally.
Is the show you're bringing to Sydney much like your show during this year's Sydney Comedy
Festival set, or are there some surprises in store? Well, on this short visit, we're bringing the same old
show. But you should still expect surprises. After all, it is your birthday
(this has to be true for at least one of your readers – happy birthday, you).
We will bringing our new show, The Last Stand to Reason, to Sydney in the spring, and it's a real motherfucker.
What's your best memory of Sydney? Doing pushups with the comedy duo Scratch. Kevin, the
bearded one, worked us like a drill sergeant.
What's coming up after the Australian
visit? We are doing a huge run in London at the Soho Theatre.
It's amazing, we can't even believe it. But then again, becoming famous in the
theatre is kind of like becoming a famous knitter.
What poses the greater physical
challenge: portraying a horse's mouth, or determining how a bat would play
chess? Both are very rigorous. We're thinking about releasing
a workout video.
