What's the best thing about performing on an island? It's out of range of talkback radio, so I won't have to listen to how much Ray Hadley disapproves of my work.

What punch-line have you longed to find a joke for but never quite managed?
"Detailed programmatic specificity."

If you could call a moratorium on one over-used comedy premise, what would it be?
Age-swap movies. Freaky Friday, 17 Again, Peggy Sue Got Married,Suddenly 30...

What performer are you hoping to see during the festival?  Alexei Sayle. He's steered us in directions we didn't even realise were directions.

Does your mother approve of your career choice? She's very supportive, if slightly baffled.

What's the one subject that you've never been able to make a joke about? Audiences are open-minded about comedy. They know you're only kidding. Provided you steer clear of religion, politics, race, gender, old people, young people, the world, life, death, ideas, objects, and everything, no one complains.

If your comedy was a musical genre, what would it be? Chaser DVDs are available at the Post Office, so I guess I'm like Andre Rieu: pretentious and accessible at the same time.

Complete: my dog has no nose… Yes, that is complete.

What do you want to be when you grow up?  A teenager

What's the funniest thing about Sydney?  The talkback radio.

In 30 words or less, explain what your show is about and why everyone  should go and see it.  Easy. It's a brand-new show by The Goodies!

Andrew Hansen MCs The Goodies at World's Funniest Island on 16-17 Oct
