For a second year, the documentary talents of international and local filmmakers will be presented to the public.
Opening this year’s festival is a daring exposé from Danish director Mads Brugger, The Ambassador. This at times shocking documentary follows journalist/director Brugger who, with surprising ease, buys himself a consular posting to the Central African Republic and investigates the country’s access to ‘blood’ diamonds, meeting murderous thugs, shady opportunists and crooked diplomats, all the while recording his dangerous encounters on a hidden camera.
