You wouldn't steal a car or handbag, and you wouldn't download a movie - but you can catch free movies at venues around town. Every Wednesday at 2pm or 7.15pm and every Sunday at 2pm, the Art Gallery of NSW is screening recent Korean films for the Korean Dreaming Festival.

TheJapan Foundation screens Japanese cinema for zero yen at on selected Wednesdays at 6.30pm: on 20 May watch race relations comedy All Under the Moon.

This month the State Library screens docos on Oskar Schindler and Gore Vidal while The Darlo Bar's regular Tuesday classic movie for 20 May is De Niro's Oscar-winning boxing turn in Scorsese's Raging Bull.
