Iraq war movie The Hurt Locker has swept the 82nd Academy Awards despite being a real downer for teenagers looking to get to second base.
Horny kids around the globe looked on in dismay as much more date-friendly fare such as Avatar and The Blind Sidelost the award for best picture to Kathryn Bigelow's Iraq war buzzkiller.
Bigelow was named best director, the first woman to win the award in the Oscars' 82-year history, for a film widely decried as too engrossing and disturbing to get chicks to put out.
In all, this pash-hostile movie won six Oscars, including original screenplay, editing, sound editing and sound mixing.
Some old guy, Jeff Bridges, was named best actor for Crazy Heart, the moving story of a country and western singer doing some boring shit.
Sandra Bullock won the award for best actress for Blind
Side, which is a sports movie, so that's OK.
James Cameron's awesome Avatar won awards for best cinematography, visual effects and art direction, which is great cos that movie rocked.
Cameron is the ex-husband of Bigelow, so he must be pretty pissed right now, especially cos Avatar was so, like, rad n shit. Nick Dent (age 15)
