The queer night of nights, where the best and the most bent sides of Sydney shine bright, is upon us once again. The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade is the country’s biggest outdoor parade and pulls in queer loving crowds in their droves.

All the glitz and glamour of the Mardi Gras parade will go down along Oxford Street and Flinders Street before the cheering crowds who turn up to see queer Sydney at her best each year.

This year's theme is "Say Something!" so expect entries that will make you laugh or fill you with passion.

Our inside tip is to get a prime standing position by at least 6pm for a 7.45pm parade start. While hawkers will be selling crates, remember it’s poor parade etiquette to stand on something cheap and nasty and block the view for others, so be sure to share the space and the love on the night and support the notion of equality for all Australians by cheering out loud and proud.

Happy Mardi Gras Sydney!
