As the world's most recognised day-long charity festival, New York City's Wigstock has been raising much needed funds for HIV/AIDS in the United States since its launch in the early 80s. The brainchild of New York's first lady of drag, Lady Bunny, Wigstock pulls together the crème de la crème of New York's most fabulous and fierce across the world of drag, performing arts and DJ culture for a day and night of bent entertainment at its best.

It may have taken a while for Sydney to take its cue from this iconic event, but thanks to the grande dame of London’s lesbian clubbing scene, Kim Lucas, along with Sydney’s Rod Lay and Laurence Stark, our locally branded version, Wigout, is heading to the Beresford Hotel. Expect to see an afternoon of high hair, big names including Mitzi Macintosh, Joyce Maynge, Dallas Dellaforce and and many more as Wigout makes its Australian debut!
