Missing your fill of queer flicks? Can't wait for the next Mardi Gras Film Festival to roll around? Well, time to get underground...
We might moan and groan about the state of gay cinema but everyone, no matter how pretentious, loves a good queer movie experience: lovable protagonists cavorting around dubious plot lines in a world were every hot guy they meet "just happens" to be gay. Queer Screen know the ins and outs of our guilty pleasure all to well and are offering up a smorgasbord of gay and lesbian films this winter. In the Oxford's newly kitted-out Underground club the lovely people from QS will be putting on a weekly screening, showing such awaited titles as Into the Lion's Den, Antarctica and She Monkeys to name just a few. At ten dollars a ticket (which includes a complimentary drink, might we add!) you'll never want to go to an art-house cinema again.
