Pussy galoreSexy Shopping
Sydney has almost as many Sex Shops as it has Turkish pide take away joints. The myriad of underground stores dotted throughout the CBD and occasional suburban retail strip are lined with enough designer dildos, varying vibrators and faux fists to feed a starving nation of porn stars. One of Sydney's best and most aptly named adult stores, The Toolshed Oxford Street or The Toolshed Taylor Square, serves up some of the most creative and imaginative objects destined for the orifice of your choice. "We want people to feel able to ask us anything," says store manager Kevin Vailey. From Mould Your Own Pussy kits and deluxe double-ended dildos, through to porn classics such as Shaving Ryan's Privates and Buttfucking BMX Biker Boys, the Tool Shed is bringing Sydney's sexy back.

Rude Food

When it comes to insatiable appetites, sex and food are often found on the same menu. While queers have long been replacing dud roots with a shrink-wrapped Lebanese cucumber or wax tipped ladyfinger banana, rude food has been relatively limited to the home. Darlinghurts's Slide Bar has been pulling sexy serving suggestions out of the bedroom and onto the dinner plate through their ever-popular degustation menu, El Circo.  "We have created a very European feel to the venue after 2 successful years, el'circo is definitively taking on a more sexy turn," says manager and brainchild behind the El Circo concept Marc Kuzma. By mixing sensual dishes such as boxed mexican crab tortilla, filled with spicy guacamole, blue swimmer crab and topped with tomato salsa. with live entertainment including an erotic silhouette performance by sexy new Burlesque performer miss Elouise Sauer, Slide's Sunday night sitting is the perfect pre-shag dinner date with a difference.

Sultry Styling

Kath Day-Night may find Kel's leather bomber jacket collection a huge turn on, but there's more to leather than man-bags and marble wash prints. Leather fetish culture is a universal admiration for all things leather and kinky, and the purveyors of the city's sexiest leather and fetish wear are the boys at Sax Fetish. This delightful den caters for both newbies and old hands to the fetish game and carries some seriously sexy wear from studded harnesses, chaps and codpieces for the boys, through to latex leggings, rubber skirts and chrome bras for the gals. Don't be fooled by the fetish stereotype though, the store attracts a diverse clientele ranging from plumbers and chippies through to kindergarten teachers and high court judges.

Luscious Literature

From hunky bear calendars featuring a furry fella for each month, through to saucy lesbian erotica,The Bookshop Darlinghurst, in err, Darlinghurst, has been stocking its shelves with some of the sexiest queer literature available in our fair city. While internet porn is busy keeping Sydney hard 24/7, there is nothing more titillating than page upon page of the drawn out sexual tension created in erotica. Noel Lee, from The Bookshop Darlinghurst has noticed that an old classic has retained its mojo since its original release in 1954, and onto bent bookshelves today. "The Story of O is still a great seller. There is something alluring about it that keeps people coming back in to buy it," says Lee. Aside from stocking a steamy array of books, The Bookshop does a great porn section that has proved to be a popular cruising zone with queer bookworms and regular fans of titles such as Inches and Honcho alike.

All Gal Gig

When it comes to a sexy night out, Sydney's sisters are doing it for themselves. While they may not have a dedicated all girl bar to flock to every night of the week, Sydney's lesbians are well covered with the dead sexy monthly hip-hop and R'n'B inspired all gal gig, Badabing. Held at the Flinders Hotel on the last Saturday of the month, Badabing invites both regulars and new performers to grab the mic and get down with a live performance. Publican Chris Milne says the night has proven to be one of the most popular slots in the Hotel's running program. "We have some awesome talent every month and the night attracts some very sexy girls of a younger demorgraphic both onstage and off." When the gig is up and without a sex venue to cater for their after party frolics, the girls pop the age old question; 'Is it my place or yours?' and seal the deal old school style. Listen and learn boys!

Note: The Flinders Hotel has since changed management.

Steamy Sydney

Once Sydney's most infamous gay nightclub known as The Purple Onion, is today's most popular gay sauna affectionately known as Ken's, KKK but  Officially called Kens at Kensigton. The iconic sauna has been servicing queer Sydney's sexual appetites for more than 25 years. Rivaling sex venues, such as Bodyline and Sydney City Steam still do a great trade, however the Romanesque theme captured within its decor gives Kens At Kensignton it's unique edge. Between the dimly lit steam room, sizzling sauna, glory hole maze, dark room and porn theatre, Kens caters for every taste in dick. Butt Naked nights are towel-free so patrons get to size up their prey before they commit to getting a room, while weekday Lunchtime Specials pull in a tight arsed crowd who take the concept of Happy Meal to a whole new level.
