Haus has landed

Don't let Alex Taylor's perfect smile fool you: there's a bona fide mobster lurking behind those boy-next-door looks.

As the local godfather of house music, Taylor has been spinning his genre fast and furiously not just across town, but around the world for well over a decade now.

When it comes to residencies, you name it and Taylor has played it. Outside of the club scene this sensational spinning talent has raised the roof on some of the world's most popular dance parties, including our own Mardi Gras and Sleaze as well as working the decks for Madonna at her private party when she toured Sydney with her Girlie Show tour in 1993.

Not one to shy away from creating a new club night, Talyor has teamed up with pals Wil Sabin and Darian Pizem from BoomBox Productions to launch Sydney's freshest Friday night gig at Club OneSixNine.

His latest offering is Haus: a slick and sexy night dedicated to the New York underground ball experience. Think drag mixed with hot muscle beeatches and creative clubsters and you have the scene down to a Long Island Iced Tea.

Haus promises to give queer Sydney a reason to venture out on a Friday night and start the weekend the way God intended. With a number of weekend club nights focusing on a younger crowd, Haus welcomes punters of mixed ages, bonded by their love for house and an appreciation for a fabulous night out. Expect to see Taylor as captain of the decks along with fellow spinners Keenan, JimJam, Brett Austin and Troy Cox.

As a dedicated patron of quality drag, Taylor and crew are offering their signature cocktail, Opulence, free between 10pm and midnight for those in fabulous cross-dressing attire.

So get off the couch and head to Haus - it's the perfect way to get your dancing mojo back in fine form. Who said queer Sydney's club scene was dead?

Haus is on every Friday night at OneSixNine
