Sea sponge and superstar SpongeBob SquarePants livens up Sydney Aquarium in new temporary installations and scenes throughout venue and its ocean tanks. See a SpongeBob pirate world at the aquarium’s newest exhibit, Mermaid Lagoon, and a Bikini Bottom installation in the iconic Great Barrier Reef tank. The best time to visit is during the the July school holidays, when there will be character appearances by SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick Star, giveaways, face painting and interactive zones where kids can play.
