Every second and last Sunday of the month, the Art Gallery of New South Wales hosts a free kids' performance relating to an aspect of the collection.
Upcoming performances include: Aditi and her rickshaw, a theatrical storytelling from Bronwyn Vaughan (Feb 24); Didgeridoo dance - songs, stories and music with Aboriginal performer Matthew Doyle (Apr 28); InterACTive art - improvisational storytelling by Daniel Cordeaux and Monique Dykstra (Mar 10; May 12; Jun 30).
Plus, the art of portrait drawing: learn techniques from well-known children’s illustrator David Legge (Mar 31; Apr 13); Floating on a sea of stories: Bronwyn Vaughan reads and performs contemporary and traditional stories from Japan using costumes, puppets, props and music (May 26) and Commedia dell’ Arte: Dennis Murphy brings his cast of carnival puppets to life (June 9).
