Prince Alfred Park Playground

Sydney's newest childrens' playground has just opened!

First published on . Updated on 29 Apr 2011.

Kids will be pleased to hear that the extensive Prince Alfred Park refurbishments include a new toddlers' play area.

The Playground is open as of Sat 30 Apr and includes a see-saw, swings angled towards some of the city's most interesting buildings and a giant balloon that recalls Thomas Gale’s 1870 balloon ride from Prince Alfred Park to Redfern.

The whole family can also enjoy new public barbecues and multiple family picnic areas.
