The Macleay Museum’s treasured Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) specimen will be on display to mark National Threatened Species Day (September 7). National Threatened species day commemorates the death of the last Tasmanian Tiger at Hobart Zoo in 1936 and draws attention to the plight of endangered native species threatened today due to the human impact on the environment.
