A curator-led tour of the wallpaper collection in the Caroline Simpson Library & Research Collection teaches how wallpapers of the past were printed by paper-stainers. A behind-the-scenes tour of Porter’s wallpaper factory in Botany then shows the craftsmen work today. They will discuss all aspects of making wallpaper and show designs by the likes of Catherine Martin, Bowie Wong and Julie Paterson, that have impacted Sydney’s wallpaper scene.
