The Islands of the Ancients

This show takes you through a wonderful inspiring walk through the beautiful and sensitive photographs by Mayu Kanamori of the elderly of Sardinia.

Located on Level 2, from 14 August to 28 September 2008, Customs House proudly presents to you an artist talk by Mayu Kanamori, ‘The Islands of the Ancients'. 

The show features Mayu's photographs of Sardinia's centenarians. With her partner Ben Hills, a writer and journalist, this show takes you through a wonderful inspiring walk through of the beautiful and sensitive photographs.

The photographs grasps the incites and secrets that lie in the oldest group of people "anziani" which lives in the middle of a small island in the Mediterranean.

The show is followed by a launch of one of Hill's books that starts from the 28 September, organized by Sandy Edwards, organizer of Sydney's Stills Gallery and Arthere.

All admissions are FREE and all are welcome.
