Pianist Sean Foran answers the big questions on behalf of the Necks-influenced jazz trio.

What are you up to?
Touring....we're just back from South America, now we're off around the country launching the new album The Gentle War before we head to China in October.

Why should people get along to your show?
It's our first time at the Basement so it will be quite a special night. We'll be playing a bunch of material from the new album, which we describe as simultaneously thunderous and hushed. Plus we've got support from the wonderful Elly Hoyt and James Sherlock, who will be fantastic.

What's the best pub/venue/bar/restaurant in Sydney, and why?
Anywhere that serves Campos coffee. Taste it and know why!

What's the best joke you've heard recently?
A magician onboard a cruise ship had his act regularly disrupted by this talking parrot who would keep giving away his tricks. On the final night of the cruise the ship hit an iceberg and sunk. The only survivors, the parrot and the magician. After hours floating in the water the parrot says, "OK, I give up: what have you done with the ship?"

Xbox 360 vs Wii vs PS3: who wins?
PS3: because I love beating John [Parker, Misinterprotato drummer] regularly.

What's the best song about Sydney, and why?
Hmmm… give me a shortlist… I really have no idea!
