The third annual Chinese Garden Chamber Music Festival (conveniently timed to coincide with the dragon boat races in Darling Harbour) promises performances from three master instrumentalists from
Shanghai: erhu player Wu Ying; dizi player Qian Jun and guzheng player Fang Yu. They’ll be performing traditional and modern Chinese works with MSO Principal Cello, David Berlin, violinist Debbie Scholem, pianist Philip Shovk and sheng player/composer Dr Wang Zheng Ting. The performances include a Chinese meal and wine, and be advised that there are only 120 seats per performance so you’d be wise to book early.
