Since the release of his 2004 album When I Fall in Love, jazz trumpeter Chris Botti has become the top-selling American instrumental artist. The success of his particular brand of smooth and cool jazz has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music, and has led to four No 1 jazz albums and multiple Grammy Awards.
