Two of the planet's most interesting cult bands team up
In the American corner we have the sprawling multi-member rock'n'roll soap opera that is the Brian Jonestown Massacre, touring behind their Aufheben album. In the Danish corner, operating in a model of sleek, Scandinavian rock efficiency, we have the two-piece Raveonettes who've unleashed their fifth album, Raven in the Grave. BJM are unpredictable live but always compelling; the Raveonettes killed at Oxford Art Factory a couple of years back. Basically, you want to be at this gig.

Yes, they are Danish - very embarrassing error, which has been amended. However, the important thing is that they're awesome live, which for a band that uses so much backing recording is pretty damn rare. You should totally see them.
