Sydney's own Eurovision returns for its third year
Think your suburb is worthy of a song? Well, Sydneyvision is the competition for you. Now in its third year, Sydneyvision asks musicians, writers, casual hummers – anyone basically – to produce an original song and accompanying music video that features the name of a Sydney suburb in the lyrics. Fourteen finalists will be chosen and their music videos played at a special screening at Dendy Newtown where the winner will be chosen – first prize is $300. Entries for the competition close July 21. To enter, send your video to the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, Town Hall, 1 Bedford St (opposite Newtown Station), Newtown 2042.
