The 2012 End of The World (for beardless people) tour
Adelaide’s the Beards want you to know one thing: they support beards. You can’t ignore this message in their new album, Having a Beard is the New Not Having a Beard. When Time Out spoke to lead vocalist Johann Beardraven, he tells us: “The theme is beards. Well the theme more specifically is that beards are really good. We want to make that clear; we are pro beards.”
And now, predicting the obscure prophecy that on December 21 “the world will end for people without beards”, the famously bearded music-makers embark on a missionary campaign to preach to the facially bald. The campaign, aka tour, also coincides with the launch of the band’s new clip for single ‘Got Me a Beard’.
