Billy Corgan visits the Sea Shepherd

The Smashing Pumpkins main man enjoys a musical maritime mission

Billy Corgan didn’t just swing by to make some sweet, sweet music with the Smashing Pumpkins, you know – on Monday 30 July he also took the opportunity to pop by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society’s vessel, the M/Y Bob Barker, while it was in dock in White Bay.

It’s no surprise that the ship is close to his heart – ‘Bullet With Butterfly Wings’, is the title track for Whale Wars, the doco series that follows the Sea Shepherd fleet on its whale-saving missions. But still, popping by to have a tour and throwing in a few songs for birthday girl Jo Watmore, the ship’s chef: that’s pretty tasty.
