Splendour Sideshows

So, you hit refresh over and over and over and still didn't get Splendour in the Grass tickets: that's what you get for going for the cheaper option when you could have paid a few extra cents per month for ADSL 2, really. Anyway, while you'll be missing out on the festival exclusives like Ben Harper & Relentless7 and the Pixies, you do still have plenty of options, thanks to the plethora of sideshows that the SITG acts are doing.

Sat 24 July
Alberta Crossget hot and sweaty at the Annandale, and Grizzly Bear play their first show of two at the Enmore.

Sun 25 July
Grizzly Bear blew our minds when they were here for Sydney Festival – now they hit the Enmore Theatre to finish the on their second night.

Mon 26 July
LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip team up for a double-headline night at the Hordern.

Tue 27 July
The Temper Trap play their largest ever Sydney show at the Hordern and the Scissor Sisters play at the Big Top at Luna Park.

Wed 28 July
Foals gallop through the Manning Bar and Yeasayer hit the Metro. The Ting Tings would have played the Enmore Theatre, had they not cancelled their Australian tour. Sorry kids.

Thu 29 July
The Strokes showcase their forthcoming album in a headlining Hordern show, Band of Horses hit the Enmore and Goldfrapp play at Luna Park's Big Top.

Fri 30 July
The Magic Numbers cast their rock'n'roll spell on the Metro.

Sat 31 July
Midlake hit the Metro for their intimate sideshow and School of Seven Bells return to the Gaelic.

Sun 1 Aug
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club find our rock'n'roll at the Metro, Laura Marling plays at the Factory and The Drums head for Oxford Art Factory.

Jonsi Mon 2 Aug
Two Door Cinema Clubhit the Oxford Art Factory, Jónsi plays the Enmore Theatre, Passion Pit return to rock the Forum, Fanfarlo make their Sydney debut at the Gaelic and Laura Marling sells out the Metro.

Tue 3 Aug
Surfer Blood cruise into Manning Bar, Frightened Rabbit take over the Factory Theatre, The Enmore plays host to Hottest 100-topping Mumford & Sons and Band of Skulls take on the Oxford Art Factory – and the Metro gets a kick-ass double header with Ash and We Are Scientists.

Wed 4 Aug
The Canadian indie collectiveBroken Social Scenehit the Metro for their sideshow and Miike Snow take over the Forum.

Thu 5 Aug
Ms Kate Nash does her headline show at the Metro and Florence & The Machine head for the Enmore Theatre for a sold out show.

Fri 6 Aug
Florence & The Machine sell out the Enmore Theatre again.

Sat 7 Aug
Third time!Florence & The Machine sell the Enmore Theatre out.

Sun 8
Florence & The Machine give you one last chance with their show at the Hordern. Which will probably sell out.
