So, you hit refresh over and over and over and still didn't
get Splendour in the Grass tickets: that's what you get for going for the
cheaper option when you could have paid a few extra cents per month for ADSL 2,
really. Anyway, while you'll be missing out on the festival exclusives like Ben Harper & Relentless7 and the
Pixies, you do still have plenty of options, thanks
to the plethora of sideshows that the SITG acts are doing.

LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip team up for a double-headline
night at the Hordern.

The Temper Trap play their largest ever Sydney show at the
Hordern and the Scissor Sisters play at the Big Top at Luna Park.
Wed 28 July
Foals gallop through the Manning Bar and Yeasayer hit the Metro. The Ting Tings would have played the Enmore Theatre, had they not cancelled their Australian tour. Sorry kids.

The Strokes showcase their forthcoming album in a headlining
Hordern show, Band of Horses hit the Enmore and Goldfrapp play at Luna Park's Big Top.

The Magic Numbers cast their rock'n'roll spell on the Metro.

Midlake hit the Metro for their intimate sideshow and School of Seven Bells return to the Gaelic.

Sons and Band of Skulls take on the Oxford Art Factory – and the Metro gets a kick-ass double header with Ash and We Are Scientists.
