Game of Thrones fan? Of course you are. For everybody else, shield your eyes: spoilers and in-jokes this way lie. Grant King, chef at prog-dining hotspot Gastro Park, has created a Game of Thrones-inspired menu he’s calling ‘King's Landing’. It’s $100 per person, and you’ll need to gather four friends to book for a dinner that's more fun than a Red Wedding feast. From ‘eyeballs’ with a liquid mozzarella centre to slices of lightly cured venison skewered by handmade arrows stuck in a tree stump, to a giant chunk of roast suckling pig served on ‘Godswood’ as a tribute to King Robert’s final kill, it’s a hands-on, tactile meal in the spirit of George RR Martin's addictive fantasy novels and the amazing HBO series based on them (out March 7 on DVD). Finish up with dragon eggs and liquid gold (yes, inspired by that episode) served at the table with trowels and a bucket. Winter is coming… so celebrate the warmer months while you can at one of these excellent dinners, for one month only.
