Discover Time Out’s restaurant picks for March, from fresh-faced newcomers to tried-and-true favourites 

Don’t just wear alpaca: eat alpaca. At this new Peruvian restaurant you can try raw slices of this cute fluffy animal with a Pisco Sour on the side. They also feature calf’s heart and an excellent cake of three milks.

Wilbur’s Place
Wilbur’s is right on Llankelly Place – so handy for porn and dinner! Make sure to get there early as the place, offering great, cheap grub, packs out quick. The last thing you want is to miss out and have to fight off three junkies and a cycling enthusiast for that last dodgy kebab.

John and Peter Canteen
After the pop-up restaurant went so well, caterers to the stars John and Peter have opened up permanently at CarriageWorks. An excellent floor team features talented sommelier Brendan February which means incredible wines to go with the incredible food.

Ms G’s
Ms G’s continues to kick arse, with dishes such as the sweetbread nuggets with kimchi mayo and a salad of red-braised tripe. Of course, there are still all the old favourites at Ms G’s including the banh mi and the fried chicken winglets.

Petaling Street Malaysian
Dear George Street, thanks for finally listening to us and putting an interesting Malaysian joint on the main strip in Haymarket. We really like the look of those roast chickens hanging in the kitchen. Yours sincerely, Time Out.
