What A small nut that grows all over the north coast and Queensland, they have a hard, thick, chocolate brown shell which encases a buttery centre. Highly prized for their wonderful flesh, you'll find them cheaper if you purchase them unshelled and go at ‘em with a hammer (or a nut cracker, if you're of sensible blood).

How Just about any which way you like. You'll often find them in curries or dipped in chocolate but the best way to our mind is to have them straight out of the shell or toasted with lots of salt. They're also great crushed up over ice cream.
